Group Accounting Manager

For our client, an investment company operating in multiple sectors and industries, we are looking for a Group Accounting Manager. The mission of the Group Accounting Manager is to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the holding’s and group’s books and records and financial reports.

Qualifications:
A recognized post graduate financial qualification (MBA (preferable) e.g. Masters in Business, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Certified Practicing Accountant, Certified Management Accountant
Minimum Experience:
Approx. 5 to 7 years of proven experience in an asset management or investment administration
Job Specific Skills:
Responsibilities
- Enhance and improve the group wide financial accounting system based on IFRS;
- design and maintain the groups accounting policies and procedures and ensure their correct and consistent application across the group;
- maintain and further develop the usage of the local ERP in SAP in particular for FI;
- ensure compliance with local statutory requirements as well as with IFRS guidelines;
- prepare fully reconciled monthly, quarterly and year-end single entity accounts in accordance with corporate time tables and IFRS reporting requirements;
- prepare fully reconciled quarterly and year-end consolidated group accounts in accordance with corporate time tables and IFRS reporting requirements;
- maintain a thorough understanding financial reporting and general ledger structure;
- manage accounts receivable and payable;
- ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate;
- ensure all transactions and accounting entries are in compliance with IFRS and are posted in a timely manner to ensure account balances are properly stated;
- ensure solid balance sheet controls and strong controlled reporting processes, including financial reconciliations for both Balance Sheet and P&L line items;
- provide support to group companies to facilitate budget, accounting, forecasting processes in accordance with corporate and internal management timetables;
- general book keeping and project accounting;
- support the preparation of the monthly management reporting package including analyses & commentary;
- produce trend and variance reports and ad-hoc summaries for management;
- liaise with internal/external auditors and other relevant bodies and authorities.

- Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus;
- Professional certification in accounting or progress toward completion;
- Fiscal knowledge;
- Profound knowledge of IFRS Professional with SAP.
